The Junior Capital Analyst assists in providing financial and reporting support, developing, editing and inputting data for the annual 5-year capital budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in preparing and maintaining monthly reporting for each asset, outlining the progress on all Business Plan and Special projects initiatives relating to the annual budget
  • To assist in developing, editing ,and input of data for the annual 5-year capital budgets
  • To assist in ensuring that the approved budgets are maintained, verified and variances reported on a monthly basis
  • To assist in providing support to Capital Mgt and Technical Services to maintain and input data as required for submission to Asset Mgt for development of the business plans and to accurately report monthly on the deployment of all annual capital budgets
  • To assist in identifying opportunities to enhance our current system of reporting and data gathering;
  • To assist in preparing and maintaining a database of all building audits, building condition /and environmental reports;
  • To assist in month and year end accounting, capital accruals, and carry over requirements;
  • To uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera’s Code of Conduct;
  • To complete all other tasks as assigned.



  • College, accounting-related certificate or courses/University degree preferably business or financial related
  • Ability to understand detailed financials and contractual information and to identify deficiencies, errors, misrepresentations
  • Ability to apply logic and reasoning to analyze financial problems and to provide solutions or recommendations for 5yr forecasted budgets
  • Experience in real estate, multi-residential sector, retirement or long term care accommodations
  • Demonstrated computer modelling and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships internally as well as with clients and third party service providers
  • Be able to multitask while working under tight deadline parameters
