The Vice President – Asset Management is accountable for maximizing the value of Revera-managed Real Estate assets through the management of the identification and approval process for accretive applications of capital and for approving the capital maintenance budgets for Revera-managed assets. The incumbent is also responsible for reviewing Business Plans including pricing plans and NOI forecast changes due to capital investment proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with VP – Investment Management to coordinate and execute overall capital investment programs;
  • Work closely with Operations to assess and approve accretive (“bottom-up” non-maintenance) capital projects – employing a model that thoroughly incorporates an understanding of operational process change implications, opportunities and costs;
  • Work with Accounting and Reporting to support property appraisal process;
  • Ensure maximum value creation by using established ROI methodology to approve capital spend above established threshold;
  • Work with Operation leadership to develop the annual Capital plan and division CAPEX budgets for Revera owned and managed properties in Canada, including:
    • Approve Capital budgets for Revera owned and managed properties
    • Ensure CAPEX aligns with asset specific strategy;
  • Work with revenue management to review the effect on asset value of pricing strategy;
  • Uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera’s Code of Conduct;
  • To complete all other tasks as assigned.



  • University degree with a primary focus on Business, Masters level preferred
  • 5-10 years asset management experience
  • 5-10 years previous leadership/management experience
  • Ability to apply logic and reasoning to analyze complex financial, legal and contractual problems
  • Expert knowledge of Asset Management principles
  • Understanding of real estate appraisal methodology and property management functions
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
