Reporting to the VP – Sales & Marketing, the National Director – Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing marketing strategy, delivering high-impact marketing programs that support on-going sales initiatives, and for workings with Sales to meet our occupancy goals.  The Director – Sales & Marketing is also responsible for understanding the customer, the competitors, working collaboratively across the company and managing a high-performance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Revera’s day to day marketing and advertising activities, working with all lines of business to determine the right target audience to maximize ROI;
  • Ensure that marketing and sales are aligned and that all marketing initiatives are supportive of an integrated Sales and Marketing process;
  • Implement a formal approach to competitive and market analysis, trend-watching and customer/audience research that directly informs the product and service offerings and evolution;
  • Build a high performance team with strong engagement scores and customer satisfaction;
  • Coordinate mass market digital SEM and SEO campaigns with the Director, Digital Marketing, and oversee and implement local advertising and promotional campaigns;
  • Provide oversight and guidance for the creative process so that assets created are optimally effective to support these initiatives;
  • Work with external agencies including the Advertising Agency;
  • Work with the Director, Digital Marketing to develop and execute marketing/media plans based on approved objectives, strategy and budget;
  • Continue to build environment of objective-based decision making based on analytics, measurement and testing;
  • Lead customer segmentation and market research initiatives;
  • Lead competitive analysis and intelligence gathering and reporting;
  • Responsible for budget management;
  • Liaise and collaborate with key business support peers in support of overall corporate goals;
  • Project manage initiatives, ensuring appropriate resources, project elements and stakeholders are identified, appropriately communicated and completed as scheduled;
  • Ensure high quality and brand compliance for all creative/production material;
  • Develop Market Research strategic plan outlining recommended areas of research and proposed studies;
  • Research various marketing vehicles, stay in touch with market trends, and identify issues and opportunities to help support sales and occupancy;
  • Uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera’s Code of Conduct; and
  • Complete other duties as assigned.  

Required Education, Credentials and Experience:

  • University degree in business or marketing
  • A minimum of 10 + years of progressively senior experience in marketing
  • Sound management and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience managing a Marketing budget
  • Ability to build relationships with line of business leaders
  • Excellent verbal and written and communication skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Team oriented and collaborative
