Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Administration Manager, the HR Shared Services Advisor will deliver expert and error-free payroll and benefits administration and provide admirable customer service to internal clients in a multi province and multi-union environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply specific pay and benefits rules for assigned client groups.
  • Verify payroll and benefits change requests and correct/validate as required.
  • Capture employee termination information in payroll system (emPath) and verify that termination information was submitted correctly through Manager Self Service, and Record of Employment (ROE) was generated
  • Upload and balance hours from time & attendance system to payroll system
  • Complete end-to-end bi-weekly payroll ensuring that performance standards are met
  • Participate in various projects within HR Shared Services
  • Support Year End processes to ensure integrity of Tax Filing and T4s
  • Continuously strive to identify opportunities for process improvements, and assist with the design and implementation of such improvements
  • Uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera’s Code of Conduct
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Canadian Payroll Association Certification
  • College diploma in Accounting, Business or related field
  • Experience with emPath, JDE Enterprise One and/or Kronos a definite asset
  • Highly organized and extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and adjust to rapidly changing situations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and client services skills
